Engine

A poor leakdown on one cylinder was the main reason to tear into the engine, it was otherwise in great health with good power, very few leaks and little oil use. D-day came and it was time to get the engine out…

Remove some ancillaries and other bits bits that need restoring.

Then it’s time to find out why there was poor leakdown on one cylinder, top end off.

Hmmm, that looks a bit suspicious.

Cracking the bottom end open, pretty clean looking bearings and crank.

So rebuild spec looks a little something like this:

    • Heads machined and new guides fitted
    • Case machined and rifle drilled
    • New P’s & C’s
    • Sport cams, ti springs and retainers
    • 993tt Divlar headstuds
    • Slight bump in compression (tbc)
    • Full new hardware throughout
    • Carbon engine tin
    • Power steering delete
    • Engine brake booster delete (more on this elsewhere)
    • Carbon canister delete (inc all vac hoses / actuators)
    • Single pulley conversion
    • Live remap

Fuel injector cleanup and refresh.

Carbon engine tin, will be painted black to look like faux powdercoated steel 😉
