Even though I’m not quite ready to final-fit and fettle any panel gaps I wanted to get the chassis sitting as flat as possible so I don’t get any surprises once its dropped onto its wheels. I took the opportunity to weigh the bare shell too.
With all the pads on my lift shimmed to be level we got some nice (jacking pad) corner weights!
So bare shell with F & R glass, bonnet, fuel tank & HVAC unit comes in at about 420kg, roughly a third of the weight of the total car.
