This fantastic 964 C2 had undergone a significant body and engine restoration however there was an outstanding snag list to work through to get the car ready for daily use.
First task, an easy one – fit some new rear lights.
The new lights and reflector really do look great and are the icing on the cake for a freshly restored car with new paint and tidy looking engine bay.
Next up was a rather sad looking handbrake lever. The handbrake was badly adjusted so I think it had been yanked on too hard too many times. Handbrake adjusted it was time to deal with the lever, it’s a substantial part but the bend was in a strange place so it needed removing and clamping into a bench vice to correct.
Owner had complained about a strange noise behind the steering wheel when manoeuvring at slow speeds, wheel off it was clear what was the problem. Some careful realignment of the horn power spring tab and very fine smear of grease to keep things nice and quiet sorted this out.
New fuel filler cap, washer filler cap and fuel filler flap were ordered to tidy up the fuel filler area.
At some stage in the cars life all the of door interior plastic covers had gone AWOL, a new set were sourced and fitted into the doors. This is a knuckle scuffing job and requires some manipulation of the parts but it can be done without dissasembly of the door.

Rear wiper alignment was very poor and required some adjustment and tweaks to get it sitting correctly – much better!
Small tweak but the cruise control connector in the engine bay was not correctly secured the the plastic clip was missing, easily rectified with new (inexpensive) parts from Porsche.
