White 964 C2 inspection

A customer got it touch about a 964 C2 he had been to see and was looking to get it inspected before committing to the purchase. I headed up to the sellers premises and carried out the fullest inspection possible given current state of the vehicle – pics will tell the story.

The engine was undergoing some investigations due to an oil leak which occurred during the test drive of the customer who wanted to buy the car. The buyer very much liked the car and had made an agreement with the seller to get the car fixed and inspected, if both go well then the purchase would go ahead.

The car was a California import which meant it had some quite unique features specific to that region.

Along with the other unique cali stuff it also had a really nice and original Blaupunkt stereo fitted, looked just right sat in the 90’s dash and was confirmed to be correct once I viewed the options sticker for the car.

Talking of options sticker, this also revealed the car had the factory LSD fitted (220) which neither seller or buyer were aware of – a nice discovery!

The remainder of the inspection went well with nothing major found but a healthy list of little details that weren’t quite right. The Inspection report was compiled and sent to the customer who used it to negotiate some additional bit to be sorted prior to collection in addition to the work already being carried out on the engine.
